Growing Trees – ZMLS

Growing Trees

We were having some apples the other day, and Violet asked if we could grow some trees from the apple seeds. Since Violet LOVES science experiments, we decided to go ahead and attempt to grow some trees!

We started out by putting the seeds in a ziploc bag with some wet paper towel. A few days later, they looked as if they were sprouting.

Since we had an empty milk jug, we decided to talk to Violet about reusing and how it would be perfect to grow the seeds.

Violet is such a big helper – she used scissors to cut the milk jug and did an awesome job. It was her job to do every step. We truly hope that the seeds grow into something… they haven’t done much more in the dirt, but she checks them every day.

Maybe in a few years we’ll be eating apples from our backyard!
