[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]The City of Portage has a Halloween Monster Bash at Schrier Park. We had never gone, so we thought that this year would be a good time to check it out. It was a pretty beautiful day, so we took Bella for a walk and then headed out and left her at home.
It is set up in a loop for kids to go trick-or-treating. Although it was a good idea, Mike and I neglected to read the part about it being a COSTUME party. We showed up and the kids just had on their normal clothes. Not sure why we didn’t think about it ahead of time, but oh well. Not only did we neglect to have the kids dress up, but we also didn’t bring any trick-or-treating bags. Being the amazing parents that we are, we improvised and gave the kids Bella’s poop bags that we happened to have in our pockets still. The kids still had a really good time and got plenty of candy.
There was an inflatable obstacle course, and did I mention lots of candy?[/vc_column_text][vc_gallery interval=”3″ source=”external_link” custom_srcs=”#E-8_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”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Since this event is so popular that they recommend not parking at that park. So Mike had dropped us off and parked at a different park and we decided that we would walk to the car via the trails after the party. It was a two mile walk to the car.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]At first the kids were not too keen on trudging all the way to the car through the woods, but once we got to the bog, they completely forgot that they were unhappy and spent the last mile or so splashing and getting absolutely drenched.
All in all, it was an eventful and fun evening.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]
