[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]And it continues!
Today, we took time to decorate our gingerbread houses. Surprisingly, it went so wonderful. The kids’ houses stayed together really well overnight and we had plenty of frosting left over to decorate. The kit came with lots of pieces of candy – including gumdrops – but we got out all of our own sprinkles and sphere “sprinkles” to add to the mess.
Mike and I even had a house to decorate that we worked together on. We even sprinkled silver sprinkles for snow on the top.
After that, we headed to the gym for swimming. After lunch we went to Home Depot for MORE Christmas decorations. The last few years, we had a wire-framed Santa with presents in our yard, but last year was the last year for him. We ended up getting a few inflatable items and some more lights. We got everything set up! We’re ready for Christmas.
And wait, there’s even more. Mike managed to bake his first loafs of bread of the season today! The house smells soooo yummy. He even let the kids help.
The snow started falling and the kids are super excited for the snow and the opportunity to go skiing. Winter has arrived!
