Libby had a work meeting tonight so I picked up the kids and am now letting them play before Hayden's bedtime. We got home and immediately they changed into their bathing suits so they could play in the kiddy pool and sprinkler while I made dinner. So I didn't have to get them dried off, we ate dinner outside. We ate tuna fish sandwiches, green beans, and chips and salsa.
After dinner they played in the water some more as I cleaned up from dinner. Hayden and I were in the front getting metal ready for my friend to pickup when I heard Violet SCREAM!!! It turns out a bee was chasing her. After she was calmed down, we went to the front and played with chalk. In case you can't tell, that is Hayden's name in chalk drawn by Violet.
All in all a good night so far. Now it's time for me to get Hayden to bed so Libby doesn't get mad!!!
So how does the bat play into this evening of familial bliss? Grammy
Ah yes, the bat. Well, I got home around 8:30 but still had some work to do so I went in the family room to grab the laptop. I heard some scratching noises coming from the fireplace and noticed that both cats were quite intent on getting at whatever was in there. I saw the bat and decided to get Violet and Mike. The bat was freed, and Violet was so wound and excited she didn't get to bed
