Violet comes running in to tell me one of their toys is in the neighbor’s yard and asks if she can climb the fence to get it.
I agree and tell Hayden that he cannot climb the fence.
Both kids climbed the fence and Violet went over and picked up the toy. Hayden was stuck on the top straddling both sides of the fence. Violet came back over while Hayden cried. She proceeded to get a step ladder, climb up and help him down, and followed up consoling him while he cried and then scolded him for climbing the fence. She told him that she wouldn’t tell on him as long as he learned his lesson. He told her “I love you, Bobby” and they went to jump on the trampoline together.
I hope they will always be like this.
