This morning, both kids were just little pistols. Sometimes that’s a little infuriating when I just want to get to work, but this morning it was just so darn cute, I couldn’t help but laugh along with them. They both decided that they were going to pick out their own clothes.
Violet did a really good job picking out her dress and “tards” (her leggings, which she usually calls leotards, but she has since shortened) with a sparkly shirt to go over her dress all by herself while I got ready in our room.
Hayden was in her room while she was picking out her clothes, and he came running in yelling, “ON! ON! ON! SHIRT ON!” while carrying one of Violet’s shirts. Needless to say, I put it on over his pajama shirt with every intention of changing him before we left for daycare.
He was having nothing of that. He wanted to wear her shirt, and that was that. So, Hayden wore a pink “LOVE” shirt with pink sequins on the shoulders. Violet’s shirt has a pink sequin heart on the front.
Here they both are at daycare having breakfast when I dropped them off… Their pink sequins match today! Our daycare provider got a kick out of Hadyen’s choice of shirt. |
The interesting thing about this is how well the shirt fits him! Grammy
