So a while back I tried putting a movie in the PS3 and heard a grinding sound when it started to spin up. After un-plugging the PS3 and swearing under my breath I tried to think about how to dis-assemble it.
Netflix still worked, so I didn't want to make the PS3 a total brick so I let the foreign object stay in the PS3. A few days back I had a thought to use a cut CD to try and fish the object out.
This morning I cut the CD and sanded the edges with a Brillo pad. After fishing for a while, I got a "dime" out of the PS3. We tested it out and it worked. Hopefully this is the last time Hayden tries to use the PS3 as a piggy bank.
Ah, yes… Yankee ingenuity! Creativity wins once more. Grammy
It is nice that Hayden has learned at an early age to save money…but maybe next time he will remember that saving it in the PS3 only makes it so that he can't watch his favorite movies. (Maybe he thought that he was paying a rental fee).
Love, gramma sue :)
PS–great use of essential tools!
