Tonight at dinner we were eating and Hayden farted. He asked “What was that?” and then in a little bit he said “Oh… that’s my butt.” He then went on to say “My butt makes sounds.” Violet found this discussion quite funny and proceeded to egg him on. Violet mentioned that Hayden usually says “Excuse my butt” when he farts, so what did Hayden start saying? “Excuse my butt.”

Ha! I think that's a perfectly acceptable way to excuse yourself. I'm going to start using that in public now.
