Best Friends

Yesterday was yet another early daycare day for the kids. I picked them up right after lunch and came back home for nap. I made a decision that we were not going to watch any TV, so I tried my best to keep them occupied with quality activities.

I did a great job! We played cars, Little People, store and managed to dump every box of toys in the family room onto the floor. Violet and Hayden gave me a concert, with Violet conducting. It was precious – loud, but precious. After we managed to clean up MOST of the toys, we moved onto reading books. They each picked a few books that they wanted to hear and all sat down together on the couch. Not too long into the books, Violet asked if she could read a book to Hayden.

As you can see, part way through he decided he wanted to watch Cars, but it was awesome while it lasted. They truly adore eachother and yesterday Violet informed me that Hayden is her best friend (and Addy from daycare too). I’ll make sure she reads this when she gets older!

  1. Libby, I wish I could give you a hundred pounds of energy to help with all the things you need to do in your spare time. You and Mikey do such a good job with the kids! Your time is very well spent and the kids are the proof. Much Love. Grammy
